Charity cycle from Leeds to London in 24hrs

A team of 16 friends cycled continuously for 24hrs in Asda Dewsbury over the weekend in preparation for their Leeds to London cycle.

In September, a team of 16 friends will be cycling from Leeds to London in 24 hours in order to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Great North Air Ambulance.

Over the weekend, the team took it in turns on two static bikes in Asda Dewsbury, to cycle as many miles as possible over 24hrs. Each cyclist put in 4-6 hour shifts without a break – which I’m sure you can all agree is an outstanding achievement. The team managed to raise £1,226 over the 24hrs!

Starting in Leeds City Centre on the 15th of September and finishing 24hrs later in Parliament Square London, the route will include laps of two of the most prestigious race tracks in the UK, Silverstone and Donington Park.
