Is your property compliant? One month left to go!

Is your property compliant? One month left to go!

As of today, landlords only have one month to become compliant with the Minimum Energy Performance Standards legislation.

As a Landlord I’m sure you’re well aware that there is now only one month left to become compliant with the Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) legislation which comes into force at the start of next month.

All properties across England and Wales must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E or above for landlords to grant new leases, even to existing tenants.

Landlords must carry out energy efficient improvements on properties which currently have an F or G rating, in order to improve the assets performance to meet the minimum standard.

Don’t delay it any longer! If you fail to become compliant, you could receive a hefty fine of up to £150,000, and you will not be able to continue letting your property until improvements have been made to achieve the desired E rating.

Here at Compliance365, we can help you to determine the most cost-effective improvements to achieve an E rating. We offer an EPC and Review service which is cleverly designed to help you achieve compliance with the MEPS legislation.
